“Ek Tha Tiger” Drops On Tuesday

“Ek Tha Tiger” has done great job a box office over the extended weekend. Film has done some good business yesterday on Monday at box office but there seems to be some big confusion among trade experts and few leading websites regarding film’s collection on its 6th day.

We tabulated full data from each of the territory and we got approximate 19 cr nett for 6th day. This confusion is happening at many places due to increase price point of tickets which is resulting in improper reporting from exhibitors or distributors.

Film has now collected 115 cr nett plus in 6 days which is 7-8 cr nett less what one would had expected after extraordinary opening. Nevertheless film has created a record for such a huge collections on almost every day.

Today as per early trends, film further dropped by 45% from yesterday across India and this is an expected drop but a bit on higher side. Film looks to finish week 1 around 132 cr ett.

Box Office Predictions For JOKER

Tuesday, 21st August 02:00 PM IST

Box Office Predictions For JOKER

“Joker” is next big release after “Ek Tha Tiger”. Film is a 3rd Akshay Kumar release in 2012 after his two blockbusters of 100 cr plus “Housefull 2’ and “Rowdy Rathore”. Film is 2nd directorial venture of Shirish Kunder after his debut flop “Jaaneman” starring Akshay and Salman.

Film has Sonakshi Sinha opposite Akshay Kumar who also had golden run at box office in “Dabangg” and “Rowdy Rathore”. “Joker” has been sold on rather modest prices to distributors as film is not typical Bollywood potboiler. It revolves around aliens, village and some rather unconventional settings.

Film is not so hot among trade and even its promo didn’t generate excitement among public. Film will open on 31st August and by that time one expects “Ek Tha Tiger” to settle down at box office.

Sunday, 19th August 11:00 PM IST

“Ek Tha Tiger” Smashes 5 Day Weekend Record On Sunday

“Ek Tha Tiger” came back in its elements and did some smashing business on Sunday. Film shown some growth on Saturday and film further grew by 25-28%. Film collected huge 21.25 cr nett taking its 5 day total to 96 cr nett.

This is a huge total as film has overcome the record set by “Ra.One” (all versions) of 88 cr nett by good 10%. Film is now eyeing 120 cr nett plus by end of tomorrow as tomorrow will be huge due to Eid holiday. 1st week of 9 days should be in the region of 135-140 cr nett region. That puts film nicely for that magic figure of 200 cr nett.

Though release of “The Expendables 2” will affect collections in multiplexes but not to a worrisome extent. Next major release is “Joker” on 31st August and by then film should score big numbers.

4th Day Saturday Box Office Collections of EK THA TIGER

“Ek Tha Tiger” Is Back On Track On Saturday

The film saw some drop in last two days and tongues started wagging about film’s future. But as expected, film is back on track with handsome numbers. Film collected 16 cr nett and now film has collected 74.75 cr nett in 4 days.

The film is doing humongous business in north and East Punjab is simply mind blowing. This means film will post even more astounding numbers on Sunday. Film is already a success but expectations from film are too big and meeting them will be some task for the film.
